Whom Do You Trust?

The U.S. military, or an anonymous Associated Press source who is allegedly an Iraqi policeman? Blog of the Week Flopping Aces highlights another interesting case of conflicting accounts of a military action in Baghdad. The military describes a "fierce firefight" in which coalition forces killed six terrorists.
But the Associated Press, after referring to the military's account, tells a different story:
But police described the incident as an airstrike that killed four members of a family and wounded a guard outside al-Khafaji's house. A man at the scene said a guard at al-Mutlaq's office was also killed, but the police could not confirm his account.
Another anonymous "Iraqi police" source; is this another Jamil Hussein-type case? We can't yet be sure, but Curt at Flopping Aces reports on his research, which is suggestive. Take a look and see what you think.
