Off to Iraq

You may have noticed that Michelle Malkin hasn’t been her usual prolific self lately; it turns out, as we suspected, that she has been busy making arrangents for a trip to Iraq. Michelle and fellow blogger Bryan Preston will embed with American military units. The trip grows out of Eason Jordan’s invitation to Michelle to come to Iraq to investigate the Jamil Hussein story, but Michelle’s purposes are much broader than that. In addition to looking into issues surrounding the news services’ use of stringers, she and Bryan will report broadly on conditions in Iraq.
Michelle’s dispatches will be appearing, at least in part, in the New York Post. I’m sure we can look forward to some excellent reporting, and–who knows?–maybe Michelle and Bryan will even locate the elusive Captain Jamil Hussein.
You can help defray the expenses of the trip at Michelle’s site by following the link above.
