Don’t miss John’s discussion of the Under Secretary’s response to the Inspector General draft report finding Douglas Feith’s review of the CIA’s judgment that Saddam’s secular Baathists could not cooperate with radical Islamists. My former law student William Josten has kindly directed us to the online text of the Under Secretary’s response here. I haven’t read the whole thing yet, but I think the following comment at page 51 on the findng that it is “improper” to point out “fundamental problems” with specified findings of the Intelligence Community: “The implication is that the IC may not be criticized at all.”
