House Sustains Bush’s Veto

The House of Representatives voted again today on the Democrats’ surrender/pork bill. With a vote of 222 to 203, they didn’t come close to overriding President Bush’s veto of the bill.
The roll call on the House vote is here. Two Republicans voted for the measure, while 13 Democrats voted against it. I didn’t see any surprises.
Now the President and the Democratic leadership presumably will negotiate a “compromise” that allows the Democrats to save face through non-binding benchmarks or something of the sort.
