Live-Blogging the First GOP Debate

The first “debate” of the 2008 campaign on the Republican side will take place tonight. It will be broadcast from the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California. The event will begin at 7:00 central, 8:00 eastern. Coverage will be on MSNBC. I believe that Chris Matthews will moderate, and I’ve heard–I hope this is wrong–that Keith Olbermann will be the color man.
Ten candidates will take part in the debate, so it should be something of a spectacle. We’ve opened a live-blogging thread here. If you’re watching, feel free to participate; if you can’t watch, or just can’t stand Matthews and Olbermann, it will be a fun way to follow along. When the event is over, or tomorrow morning, go on over to the Candidates’ Forum and let the candidates know what you thought of their performances.
