Religious Bigotry, Out of the Closet

Al Sharpton is, and has been for many years, an appalling person. He got his big career break by participating in a frame-up not unlike Michael Nifong’s prosecution of the Duke lacrosse players. Of course, Nifong won’t be running for President. To its everlasting shame, the Democratic Party has accepted Sharpton as a legitimate political figure and taken him seriously as a Presidential candidate. Few if any leaders of the party have criticized Sharpton or even distanced themselves from him.
Now, perhaps, Sharpton has gone too far, with this naked expression of religious bigotry, directed at Mitt Romney:

This is perhaps an opportunity to learn whether there is any limit to the cowardice of the leaders of the Democratic Party. Any comment, Hillary? Bill? John Edwards? Barack?
