Congressman Duncan Hunter has been one of the strongest performers in the two Republican Presidential debates. Yesterday, the Hunter campaign posted an email from columnist Michael Tremoglie endorsing Hunter in the Candidates’ Forum. Go here to read Tremoglie’s endorsement and make your own observations on Hunter’s campaign.
My own view, for what it’s worth, is that once the field starts to narrow, Hunter could get some serious interest. He could be a viable alternative to Fred Thompson for those who are looking for a down-the-middle conservative. Apart from the Presidential race, he certainly could be a credible Vice-presidential candidate in 2008.
UPDATE: The comments on this thread on the Duncan Hunter Forum are remarkably positive.
