In the Candidates’ Forum, the Republican Presidential candidates are continuing to take their cases to the on-line community. A lot of pundits have been pronouncing the McCain campaign dead, but that’s highly premature. In the McCain Forum, the Senator’s campaign is pointing out new polls that show McCain in a virtual dead heat with Rudy Giuliani on a national basis. These polls are important, I think, because they count both Republicans and Republican-leaning independents. Polls that do not include independents are likely to seriously underestimate McCain’s support in Republican primaries, much of which has always come from independents. In short, don’t count McCain out yet.
In the Giuliani Forum, the Mayor’s campaign is highlighting the standing ovation that Giuliani received from a conservative group at Regent University, which was founded by Pat Robertson. Giuliani’s warm reception from social conservatives is consistent with what we wrote as early as 2005.
Visit the Candidates’ Forum, check out the candidates’ posts, and let them know what you think.
