The Browning of Britain

Last year we noted then-Ambassador John Bolton’s response to Mark Malloch Brown’s disparaging remarks about the American public here and here. Yesterday at NRO Mark Steyn commented on the appointment by British Prime Minister Gordon Brown of Mark Malloch Brown to the Foreign Office: “Gordon Brown’s elevation of Mark Malloch Brown to the House of Lords and thence to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office is one of the most revolting public appointments in modern British history.”
