Will get fooled again
It's been a while since we last heard from "the editors" of the New Republic updating us on the status of their investigation into the bona fides of Baghdad Diarist Scott Thomas Beauchamp. The internally inconsistent updates provided by "the editors" furnish one clue to the issue in doubt, but most reasonable people have already come to the conclusion that the New Republic has been Glassed again.
Now comes Richard Miniter of Pajamas Media to take a look at the story. Miniter has two sources -- the former assistant to the publisher who was fired in the course of the story, and Beauchamp's former fiancée. The most interesting aspect of Miniter's report is his depiction of the "cone of silence" that has descended on the New Republic in the Beauchamp affair.
