AnnRomney.com

Ann Romney held a blogger call this morning to announce the launch of her website, AnnRomney.com. Mrs. Romney is an excellent spokesperson for her husband, and her website should help the campaign leverage this asset.
In addition, Mrs. Romney, who suffers from Multiple Sclerosis hopes to use the site to talk about her struggle with the disease and to provide a resource for others, especially those who have recently been diagnosed with MS.
Jennifer Rubin asked Mrs. Romney about her views on embryonic stem cell research. She responded that she strongly supports stem cell research but not embryonic stem cell research. She described several very promising forms of stem cell research that do not involve embryos and thus don’t raise ethical problems relating to the creation of life for research purposes. In response to a follow-up question, Mrs. Romney left it to her husband to argue about the nuances of the issue, including the use of discarded embryos for purposes of stem cell research.
