Gone With the Wind, take 4

In today’s New York Times Book Review, Yale Law Professor and novelist Stephen Carter reviews Rhett Butler’s People by Donald McCaig. The novel is the second authorized extension of Margaret Mitchell’s Gone With the Wind. In a message to the editor of the Times Book Review, Carter confessed to not having read GWTW before he undertook the review of McCaig’s version:
