We cordially invite our Twin Cities readers to a free private screening of “The Kite Runner” at 7:00 p.m. this Thursday, November 15, at the Regal Eagan 16 in suburban St. Paul/Minneapolis. The film opens officially in December, but it debuted at the White House in September. Among those viewing the film at the White House were President and Mrs. Bush, Vice President and Mrs. Cheney, Secretary Gates, then Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Peter Pace, and National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley. The consensus of those in attendance was that it is a powerful and well-made movie that tells an important story.
