This morning I wrote about Daniel Henninger’s Wonder Land column and pointed out a couple of errors. Certainly the worst error was the column’s statement that George Wallace had been “shot dead” in 1972. The column as printed in the Journal this morning read as it did online at OpinionJournal and RealClearPolitics. The word “dead” has now been deleted from both of these online versions of the column. In the online subsribers version, the column now states that Wallace was “shot and wounded” in 1972. None of the three online versions of the column notes a correction.
UPDATE: Several readers have written to note that their hard copy of the Journal had the corrected text of Henninger’s column.
