General Stark Inspires Iran’s Students

Today was Students’ Day in Iran. At the University of Tehran, students demonstrated against Ahmadinejad’s government and in favor of the release of three fellow students who have been imprisoned since May on charges of printing “anti-Islamic images” in student newspapers. This photo caught my eye; somewhere, the Iranian students have seen New Hampshire’s motto:

We wrote here about the origins of New Hampshire’s motto and the controversies it has engendered over the years. When people anywhere in the world strive for freedom, they know where to look for inspiration.
