All the significant organizations that recognize the greatest men or women, books, journalism, authors and peaceniks are leftist in orientation. Think, for example, of the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize boards and their annual awards, or of the books recognized as the best of the year by the National Book Critics Circle awards. Time’s circumvention of General Petraeus in favor of Vladimir Putin as its Person of the Year is a good case in point.
Thus it is delightful to see Human Events bestowing its own Man of the Year award — and bestowing it (via Mark Levin) on Rush Limbaugh. Mark makes a compelling case that Rush is the most important man defending our founding principles and that 2007 was a watershed year for him.
