Charm and evasion, Part Four
We interrupt our analysis of Mike Huckabee's evasions during last night's debate to bring you Huckabee's post-debate evasion. This morning, Huckabee told Joe Scarborough (who probably should be worrying about whether Huckabee will wind up getting his talk show):
I think Fred needs some Metamucil. I think it would help a lot if he gets some. You know, he was in a bad mood last night.
Huckabee failed, of course, to deal with any of the specific points Thompson made about his record. So the evasion strategy is still in place. But Huckabee's insult will cause some to wonder what happened to the charm.
