Bill Richardson moves on
Bill Richardson's expected endorsement of Barack Obama obviously comes at a useful time for Obama. Like the passport file story, it creates news on a subject congenial to Obama. More importantly, however, it indicates (to me), consistent with other factors, that Obama will be the Democratic nominee. It also indicates that the Democratic establishment (including prominent Democratic officials who served in the Clinton administration) is ready to move on from the the Clintons. It is a shame that Obama is such a problematic vessel for this reasonable Democratic yearning.
