of a heart attack at age 58. He was one of the few prominent MSM members I know of who could be relied on to ask hard questions of all candidates, without regard to party affiliation or place in the political spectrum. In my one personal encounter with him, he seemed like a good, down-to-earth guy.
He will be missed.
