Last week NRO editor Kathryn Jean Lopez asked me whether Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty might help Senator McCain carry Minnesota if he were invited to join him on the Republican ticket. The answer is no, but I don’t think that is the end of the discussion, as I argue briefly in the NRO column “Time for Tim.” (I would add a question mark to that heading!) Governor Pawlenty is a dark horse in the race to be tapped by Senator McCain, but he is worthy of the serious consideration the McCain team is devoting to him.
