Credit where credit is due

A few days ago, as it was becoming apparent that the U.S. death toll in Iraq would set or approach a record monthly low, I wondered whether, when we hit August, the mainstream media would give this story the prominence it deserves. I’m pleased to report that the top headline in yesterday’s Washington Post was “U.S. Deaths In Iraq Fall To Lowest Of The War.” The accompanying story by Amit Paley isn’t bad either.
