Homer to his own Achilles

The new issue of the Weekly Standard calls on the brothers Kagan to address the return of history (Robert Kagan) and explore what is to be done (Frederick Kagan). But Professor Harvey Mansfield’s tribute to Alexander Solzhenitsyn in “Man of courage” — part memoir, part reflection — may be the most timely piece in the issue.
