Howard Wolfson, formerly of the Hillary Clinton campaign, is complaining that if John Edwards had not recklessly run for president knowing that he was vulnerable to great embarrassment and possible political ruin by virtue of a potential sex scandal, Clinton would have won the Iowa caucuses and gone on to secure the nomination.

Quite possibly.

On the other hand, if Bill Clinton had not recklessly run for president in 1992 knowing that he was vulnerable to great embarrassment and possible political ruin by virtue of “bimbo eruptions” caused by multiple sexual episodes, Hillary Clinton might still be in Arkansas billing 850 hours a year at the Rose law firm.
