A Mel Torme extravaganza

I’ve written here on occasion about Twin Cities community radio station KFAI. The station’s politics and political programming are execrable, but several of its drive time radio programs are outstanding. David Cummings is the host of Rockin’ In Rhythm on Wednesday mornings from 6:00 to 9:00 a.m. David’s show is one of KFAI’s best.

This past Wednesday David devoted his entire show to the music of Mel Torme. The show is archived here for the next 10 days. David has also posted a list of the songs he played during his Mel Torme extravaganza. David is joined by local musician and music historian Les Block during the second and third hours of the show. It’s a highly entertaining and educational three hours.
