Palin drome

Reader Steven Hess offers a palindrome in honor of Sarah Palin: “Are we not drawn onward to new era?” What might that new era be? Andrew Malcolm finds a senior Canadian physician — Dr. Andre Lalonde, executive vice president of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in Ottawa — raising concerns over the looming threat raised by Governor Palin: “[S]uch a prominent public role model as the governor of Alaska and potential vice president of the United States completing a Down syndrome pregnancy may prompt other women to make the same decision against abortion because of that genetic abnormality. And thereby reduce the number of abortions.”

UPDATE: Paul DiGiovanni has much more in the way of palindromes and commentary at the excellent Palin Drone.
