CAIR Celebrates

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, CAIR, was an unindicted co-conspirator in the federal government’s prosecution of the Holy Land Foundation. Far from being a legitimate civil rights organization, CAIR provides cover and support for terrorists and terrorist groups.

That doesn’t stop CAIR from holding above-ground functions like its 14th annual banquet, coming up on the 23rd of this month in Arlington, Virginia. Nihad Awad recently issued an email invitation to friends of CAIR. He writes:

If you have not already purchased your tickets for our November 23rd banquet, please remember that past dinners have been sold-out events and no tickets are sold at the door.

I encourage you to come and hear from the nation’s first Muslim congressman, Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN), from former Ambassador Edward Peck and from Debbie Almontaser, founding principal of the Khalil Gibran International Academy in New York. We’re also looking forward to a comedy performance by Azhar Usman of the “Allah Made Me Funny” tour.

It seems newsworthy that an American Congressman is lending his support to an organization, at least five of whose employees and directors have been arrested, convicted, deported or otherwise linked to terrorist activities.
