Hitler and Hamas: A comparison

Ron Rosenbaum is the author of Explaining Hitler, a book that reviews the scholarship seeking to account for Hitler’s project of exterminating the Jewish people. It is an excellent book that covers a lot of ground in a thoughtful and thought-provoking manner.

Drawing on the expertise he developed in working on his Hitler book, Rosenbaum now “points out a few differences between” Hitler and Hamas. In a post at his Pajamas Media site, he argues that the differences suggest that Hamas is more extreme and fanatical than Hitler’s Nazis. He hopes to see this extremism mentioned in news reports and commentaries on the current situation, but he’s not holding his breath.
