Fearless predictions revisited

In my fearless poliltical predictions for 2009 I offered prediction number 9: “The mainstream media will agonize over the anti-democratic implications of the Senate filibuster.” Thanks to the New York Times for getting the ball rolling on that one so early this year.

Prediction number 4 was a little easier, but it isn’t looking bad either. It provided in part: “Rush Limbaugh will be the most important conservative spokesman.” Chris Cillizza observes the Democrats using Rush to divide and destroy the opposition to Obama. Cillizza quotes Paul Begala: “Rush is the bloated face and drug-addled voice of the Republican Party.” Is it too difficult for Republicans to get a handle on what is happening here?
