A footnote on Michael Oren

Over the weekend I wrote about Michael Oren, Israel’s prospective ambassador to the United States. IDF Reserve Captain Dan Gordon is a writer who served in the same reserve unit as Oren during the Hezbollah war of 2006. Oren is a historian, teacher, intellectual and citizen-soldier, a great representative of Israel. Gordon tells a hair-raising story of his service with Oren in the Hezbollah war in the terrific column “The man who may be Israel’s next ambassador to the United States.” Gordon provides compelling testimony supporting his admiration of Oren.
