Is this TSA’s man-caused disaster?

In a gesture of good will to “militant extremists” all over the world, the Transportation Security Administration has posted online its airport screening procedures manual. According to ABC News, the 93-page standard operating procedures manual “includ[es] some of the most closely guarded secrets regarding special rules for diplomats and CIA and law enforcement officers.” At Pajamas Media, Annie Jacobsen conducts her own after-action review.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano commented brilliantly that although the document posted was out of date, “The posting of it did not meet our own standards of what should be available on the net.” Perhaps she should just have said that airport security procedures aren’t that effective anyway. If airport security is effective, the disclosure would appear to have the makings of a “man-caused disaster.”
The TSA assures us that we should not be unduly concerned. It has issued a statement asserting that “TSA has many layers of security in place to keep the traveling public safe, and we are confident that the screening procedures we currently have put in place remain strong.” As you can determine yourself from the TSA’s standard operating procedure manual now that it has been made available online.
