Some early indicators

It’s very early but already there are some encouraging signs in important House races. In Indiana, Democratic incumbent Baron Hill (IN-9) is being trounced and Democratic incumbent Joe Donnelly (IN-2), who is thought to have a decent chance of returning to Congress, is down by 2.5 points with just over half the vote counted.
And in Virginia, long-time Democratic Congressman Rich Boucher (VA-9) is trailing with about half the vote in, while first-term Dem Tom Perriello (VA-5) is well behind Republican Robert Hurt.
In New Hampshire, only 16 percent of the vote has been counted in the First District, but Republican challenger Frank Guinta leads Democratic incumbent Carol Shea-Porter by more than 3,000 votes.
UPDATE: Donnelly is now ahead by about two points with more than 60 percent of the vote counted. A Libertarian candidate is pulling about 5 percent of the vote. I have it on good authority that the Dems placed their slim hopes of damage control in the House on third party candidates.
Boucher, though, is reportedly preparing to concede.
