Uncommon Knowledge with Gary Becker

Gary Becker is one of the most prominent and lucid economists in the United States. In the course of a long and distinguished career teaching at Columbia University and the University of Chicago, he was awarded the John Bates Clark Medal and the Nobel Prize for Economics. Among his many books are A Treatise on the Family, Accounting for Tastes, The Economics of Life (with Guity Nashat Becker), Social Economics: Market Behavior in a Social Environment (with Kevin Murphy), and, most recently, Uncommon Sense: Economic Insights, From Marriage to Terrorism (with Richard Posner). Professor Becker also helps hold down the fort at the semi-eponymous Becker-Posner Blog.
