Silence of the Bam, cont’d

Lee Smith notes “The president’s deafening silence on Libya.” Bill Kristol finds the administration “Pathetic” and “Even more pathetic,” both in one day.
How can Obama’s loquacious approach to Egypt be reconciled with his reticence about Libya? Someone who covers the White House for a living should try to produce an answer.
JOHN adds: The silence of Bam–the whole administration, actually–on Libya is getting downright weird. The obvious explanation of the difference between Egypt and Libya is perversity, i.e, Mubarak was our friend, Gaddafi is our enemy. If that isn’t the explanation, what is?
Maybe this latest news will prompt our President to make some sort of comment:

Swedish tabloid Expressen says Libya’s recently resigned justice minister claims Moammar Gadhafi personally ordered the Lockerbie bombing that killed 270 people in 1988.
Expressen quotes Mustafa Abdel-Jalil as telling their correspondent in Libya that “I have proof that Gadhafi gave the order about Lockerbie.” The comments were translated from Arabic to Swedish.
Abdel-Jalil stepped down as justice minister to protest the violence against anti-government demonstrations.

UPDATE: Could this be the answer?
JOHN responds: Perhaps. But then, what about Bahrain? Morocco? Or, for that matter, Iran?
SCOTT adds: And this does not exactly inspire confidence.
