I had heard about the Keynes vs. Hayek video, but hadn’t actually seen it until tonight. Produced by John Papola and Russ Roberts in association with the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, it is astonishingly good. A half million people have viewed it so far, so we are not exactly getting in on the ground floor, but if you haven’t watched it, you must. The video is clever and entertaining, and presents the views of the rival economists fairly:

Roberts, who collaborated with Papola on the lyrics and the visual aspect of the movie (not the production — that was solely Papola’s undertaking), says he wanted to answer specific questions this time around: “Did the stimulus spending help or make things worst? That fundamental debate is important and still going on.”
That’s the spending side. Now, for taxes, is this new video from the Center for Freedom and Prosperity. It explains seven reasons why increasing taxes is a bad idea. This video isn’t as glitzy as Keynes vs. Hayek; on the other hand, the on-screen personality is much more attractive:
