As a rule, in my opinion, Israel’s politics and public relations fall short of the talents otherwise on display among its people. Prime Minister Netanyahu and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Danny Ayalon account for notable exceptions to the rule, if in fact it is a rule.
Last month Prime Minister Netanyahu invited questions from around the world, especially from the Arab world, that he offered to answer on YouTube. “I would like to hear what you have to say, and I would like to hear what I have to say in response Talk to you soon.” he stated on his YouTube site.
I believe that the edited 12-minute clip below derives from the interview conducted to answer some of the questions submitted. In the clip, Prime Minister Netanyahu eloquently makes a point that we have made here on several occasions: the Arabs of Israel are the freest in the Middle East. He also answers a personal question regarding the event in his life that had the biggest impact on him. It is all worth hearing.
In the video below, Israel’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Danny Ayalon expounds the “the truth about the West Bank.” Ayalon explains the origins of the terms “West Bank,” “occupied territories,” and “’67 borders” and how they are incorrectly used and applied.
