Uncommon Knowledge with Charles Moore

As the result of an oversight last week we were unable to post the current installment of Uncommon Knowledge, with Charles Moore on Margaret Thatcher. This one is not to be missed, even if it is a week late.

Charles Moore was educated at Eton and Trinity College, Cambridge, where he read History. He has been editor of The Spectator (1984-90), the Sunday Telegraph (1992-5) and The Daily Telegraph (1995-2003). He now covers politics for the Telegraph. His work for the Telegraph is archived here.

Moore is also the authorized biographer of Margaret Thatcher, the subject of Peter Robinson’s interview of Moore. Good as the interview is, the highlights are undoubtedly the three or four video clips of Lady Thatcher that illustrate Robinson’s themes. Watching these clips and listening to Moore, I kept thinking: Mister, we could use a gal like Maggie Thatcher again — as could the Brits. This is great stuff. Through our arrangement with the Hoover Institution we are pleased to present it in its entirety. Please check it out.
