Osama bin Laden, American Political Analyst

Maybe we’ve been too hard on Osama bin Laden.  Yeah, yeah, he was an odious mass murderer and an evil human being, but as that old Monty Python sketch (at the 5:50 mark) goes, “let’s not bicker and argue about who killed who.”

I say this because the Washington Post is out this afternoon with a scoop from bin Laden’s papers recovered from the raid that killed him last May.  He wanted to assassinate President Obama because, well, I’ll let the Post’s copy tell the story:

“The reason for concentrating on them,” the al-Qaeda leader explained to his top lieutenant, “is that Obama is the head of infidelity and killing him automatically will make [Vice President] Biden take over the presidency. . . . Biden is totally unprepared for that post, which will lead the U.S. into a crisis.”

I say a connoisseur of the obvious like bin Laden is ready for CNN prime time.  If he were still alive that is.
