Ryan’s rumble

Paul Ryan’s speech at the Republican National Convention did not disappoint. John posted the text and Paul celebrated the speech as “optimal and then some.” I believe that’s slightly beyond a superlative, and I concur. The speech ran some 36 minutes. It was full of highlights and merits viewing in its entirety. Let’s go to the tape.

Ryan’s indictment of Obama is profound. Among the bill of particulars is the atrocity of Obamacare. Quotable quote: “Obamacare comes to more than two thousand pages of rules, mandates, taxes, fees, and fines that have no place in a free country. The president has declared that the debate over government-controlled health care is over. That will come as news to the millions of Americans who will elect Mitt Romney so we can repeal Obamacare.”
