Barack Obama has brought about a lot of change, most of it bad. But perhaps his administration’s most shameful legacy is saddling Americans and their children and grandchildren with unprecedented levels of debt.
As the Democratic Convention got underway, our national debt reached the staggering total of $16 trillion. That works out to $137,000 per American household, and rising fast. Under Obama’s budget, each household will owe $191,000 by 2022. What a legacy to leave to our children! Yet America’s crippling debt is the one topic you won’t hear anything about in Charlotte. The Democrats have simply abdicated on the most vital issue of our time.
