Is It April Yet?

The “Arab Spring” continues apace. Last night Sonia Dridi, a reporter on French television, was broadcasting live from Cairo, in or near Tahrir Square, when the surrounding crowd decided to assault her, just for fun. In the end, she wasn’t harmed as badly as Lara Logan, but the incident was broadly similar.

You can see it in the video below, which is puzzling in some respects. I can’t explain why the audio continues when Miss Dridi obviously stops speaking. The man next to her, around whom she appears to put her arm, is presumably the bodyguard whom she thanked in tweets after the incident was over. There is some disagreement about whether the men who attacked Dridi were pro- or anti-Muslim Brotherhood; to me, they look like Egyptians:
