Thinking about Tyrone Woods

The sign below perfectly expresses the feelings of impotent rage that so many of us have experienced over the Benghazigate scandal, the continuing cover-up and the shameless nonperformance of the Obama administration along with its media adjunct. The sign seems to have been inspired by the comment made by Charles Woods regarding his son Tyrone’s death — that it is better to die a hero than to live a coward. The juxtaposition of the incredible bravery of Woods with the administration’s pusillanimity and prevarications only compounds the feelings. What a crew.

JOHN adds: Ty Woods left an infant son. If you would like to contribute to his education, go here. This is a SEAL organization that is strictly legit.

JOHN adds a little more: Earlier today, I saw the graphic that Scott posted, and thought seriously–as I am sure Scott did–about whether it is too harsh to call President Obama a coward in connection with the Benghazi fiasco. Normally I would be reluctant to use such strong language, but, upon reflection, if Scott had not posted the graphic, I would have done so.

Barack Obama refuses to answer basic questions about what happened on the evening of September 11. Did the men defending the consulate and the CIA annex ask for help? Was such help refused? Obama says we need to conduct an investigation, but an investigation into what? Into his own conduct on September 11? Surely Mr. Obama knows what he himself ordered, and did not order, on that fateful night. We know that he met with the Secretary of Defense at the White House as the Benghazi attack was in progress. Undoubtedly they discussed it. So, what orders did Obama give? He refuses to say. Four Americans are dead, and Obama won’t tell us whether he decided not to try to save them. If that isn’t cowardly, what is?
