Earlier this week Stewart Mills of Mills Fleet Farm released an open video letter to Minnesota Eighth District Rep. Rick Nolan and Minnesota Senators Al Franken and Amy Klobuchar regarding gun control legislation being touted in Congress. Originally posted here by the Brainerd (Minnesota) Dispatch, the video sets out to establish that a duck hunting shotgun is more destructive and lethal than a Huldra AR-15 modern sporting rifle. It does that and more.
The video presents an impassioned and knowledgeable host who issues a full blast of truth in an utterly compelling style. If he wanted to, Mr. Mills could easily pursue a career outside the retail business. Here Mr. Mills steps out and calls — pardon me — bullshit on the political mania of the moment.
Our friends at the Republican Party of Minnesota respectfully urge viewers: “Be sure to share on Facebook and send to friends and family.” Please watch Mr. Mills make his case. A little over 12 minutes long, this video is worth watching through to the end.
“Rick Nolan’s duck gun is much more lethal and impractical than the so-called assault rifles that he would legislate away….Hopefully, this video letter will educate and inform our uninformed and misguided congressmen and Senators about the issues….”
“Gun control isn’t about controlling guns. It’s about controlling people and limiting your freedom.”
“Gun-free zones are killing our kids….They are magnets for psychopaths.”
And there is more where those came from. Bravo, Mr. Mills!
JOHN adds: Wow, good video! Fleet Farm stores are great. I shop there often for ammunition, and my wife likes their kitchen equipment, among other things. Fleet Farm has excellent prices; it is a big box store for exurbia and rural areas. If you live in an area that has Fleet Farms, I urge you to patronize them. Conservatives are often disappointed by how few businessmen are willing to participate in public affairs or take a stand on controversial issues. When they do so, you can be sure that liberals will try to punish them, so it is important that we conservatives support our own. Fleet Farm is a good place to start.
UPDATE by JOHN: I took my own advice and drove to a nearby Fleet Farm to buy 150 rounds of 9 mm. ammunition and some camo gear for one of my daughters. It looked as though they had a Huldra or two in stock, and a video was playing in which Stewart Mills was demonstrating how a Huldra works. It occurs to me that the GOP will be looking for a candidate to oppose newly-elected Rick Nolan, a beatable incumbent, in Minnesota’s 8th District. How about Mills? Would he be a breath of fresh air in Washington, or what?
