Bookmarks

John Ondrasik, also known as Five For Fighting–it took me a long time to pick up on the hockey reference–has a new album out titled Bookmarks. I bought it on iTunes the day it came out, burned a CD and have been listening to it in my car. It is excellent, even by the high standard of FFF. The sound is upbeat, pop-flavored and accessible. While John’s music is certainly contemporary, Bookmarks has, for me, an occasionally retro feel–a touch of Bob Marley here, a whiff of the Beatles there. My 17-year-old daughter loves “Stand Up,” my personal favorite is maybe “She’s My Girl” (“She’s better than ice cream…”).

So please go to iTunes or Amazon and buy Bookmarks. It’s terrific music that will bring a smile to your face; plus, John Ondrasik is one of the genuinely good guys in the entertainment industry. Among other things, he has worked tirelessly to support and entertain our troops overseas. He is also great live, if you get a chance to see him in person.

One more thing–you can follow John on Twitter, here. Bookmarks–buy it!
