Shutdown Theater, Mount Rushmore Edition

Mount Rushmore is a hard place to shut down: I suppose the Obama administration could try to drape it with a giant cloth or something to prevent people from seeing it, but that would probably be impractical. So the National Park Service has done the next best thing. It has barrycaded off the scenic overlooks where people can pull over to view the monument:

President Obama has made a fool out of himself by going to absurd lengths to dramatize the supposed consequences of the 17% shutdown. Here, as in many other instances, the government has taken measures that save zero dollars, and actually cost money, solely to try to inconvenience the public. This is a scandal that the press has tried–unsuccessfully, I think–to cover up.
