Peter Baker, live from Gate 21

Peter Baker is the distinguished New York Times White House reporter and author, most recently, of Days of Fire: Bush and Cheney in the White House. I was delighted to find myself sitting next to Peter on my flight from Minneapolis to Washington this morning.

Peter had taken the red eye from Seattle and was on his way home from a trip promoting the book. He couldn’t have been nicer. I asked him if he would let me shoot a brief video with him about the book when we landed at Reagan National. We ended up doing two videos about the book. I’ll post those two videos first thing tomorrow morning.

Peter covered Bill Clinton in office and wrote The Breach: Inside the Impeachment and Trial of William Jefferson Clinton. He let me ask him one more question about Clinton and his pronouncement this week on the virtue of keeping one’s commitments. What’s going on? Peter responds in the video below.
