Peter Baker’s Days of Fire, live from gate 21

DaysofFire Peter Baker is the distinguished New York Times reporter and author, most recently, of Days of Fire: Bush and Cheney in the White House. The New York Times Magazine published a lengthy excerpt of the book here. I admire the fairness of his work. He is my ideal of a reporter; he digs for the story and tells it straight, reserving judgment to the intelligent reader.

I was delighted to find myself sitting next to Peter on my flight from Minneapolis to Washington, D.C., yesterday morning. He was on his way home from a trip to Seattle promoting the book. He couldn’t have been nicer. I asked him if he would let me shoot a brief video with him about the book when we landed at Reagan National. We ended up doing two videos about the book, about thirty seconds each. In both videos he addresses his approach to the material. Please check them out and consider buying the book.
