Peter Baker is the distinguished New York Times reporter and author, most recently, of Days of Fire: Bush and Cheney in the White House. The New York Times Magazine published a lengthy excerpt of the book here. I admire the fairness of his work. He is my ideal of a reporter; he digs for the story and tells it straight, reserving judgment to the intelligent reader.
I was delighted to find myself sitting next to Peter on my flight from Minneapolis to Washington, D.C., yesterday morning. He was on his way home from a trip to Seattle promoting the book. He couldn’t have been nicer. I asked him if he would let me shoot a brief video with him about the book when we landed at Reagan National.
