Top10 2013 top 10 lists

Who doesn’t like a good year-end retrospective top 10 list? I certainly do, and I thought readers might appreciate a sampling of the best, with only a little cheating on my part. Let’s take it from the top:

1. Ilya Shapiro Obama’s top 10 constitutional violations of 2013.

2. Peter Wood, The highs and lows of 2013: NAS picks higher ed’s top 10 stories.

3. D.G. Myers, 10 worst prize-winning American novels of all time.

4. David Swindle, Top 10 conservative columnists of 2013.

5. Kyle Smith Top 10 conservative books of 2013.

6. Jason Gay, Top 10 sports list for 2013.

7. Lee Smith, Middle East winners and losers 2013.

8. Dave Wiegand, Top 10 TV shows of 2013.

9. A.O. Scott, Top 10 movies of 2013.

10. Time staff, Top 10 everything of 2013.

Honorable mentions: Doug Gross, Top 10 tech “fails” of 2013; Santiago Lyon, AP’s top 10 photos of 2013; New York Post staff, TV’s top 10 WTF moments of 2013; A. James Rudin, My top 10 religion stories of 2013; Jerry Hirsch, David Undercoffler & Brian Thevenot, Top 10 vehicles that moved us in 2013.

FOOTNOTE: I wanted to find a top 10 list by the Baltimore Sun’s David Zurawik, but his backward glance is a little different: The year appointment television died.
