Remembering Ray Hartwell, Part Two

I wrote here about my friend Ray Hartwell, who died tragically earlier this month. Ray entered the world of conservative commentary late, but made a strong impression. This is clear from the tribute paid to him by Hans von Spakovsky, Christian Adams and Quin Hillyer.

It’s still difficult for me to believe that Ray is gone. Not many months ago that we had lunch together as he prepared to semi-retire to Alabama — a picture of good health, it seemed to me.

Ray’s voice will be greatly missed. So will Ray.
