Clearing my spindle: Video edition

I want to bring to your attention over this holiday weekend three videos I have been watching. The first two are long interviews; the third is a lecture. Each of the videos is long, interesting, worthy of attention and posted on a specialized site. I therefore thought it would be a service to point the videos out for readers who might be interested in the speakers and/or the subjects.

1. Wall Street Journal columnist Bret Stephens on the coming global disorder (video below, courtesy of the Tikvah Fund). The lecture derives from Stephens’s related 2012 Commentary essay and from his forthcoming book, America In Retreat: The New Isolationism and the Coming Global Disorder (the video is posted at the Tikvah Fund site here):

2. CFR fellow and former State Department official Elliott Abrams with an insider’s take on public affairs on the Hill, at the Department of State and in the White House
(video below, courtesy of Conversations with Bill Kristol). Don’t miss Elliott’s account of his visit to the White House to meet with Jimmy Carter before the election in 1980 in the first few minutes of the interview (the interview is broken into “chapters” here):

3. Columbia Law School Professor Philip Hamburger speaks on his new book, Is Administrative Law Unlawful? (video below, courtesy of Hillsdale’s Kirby Center, posted here):
