Cotton on Gitmo: Let them rot

Senator Tom Cotton is not impressed by the argument that our detention facility at Gitmo is a recruiting tool for terrorists. Indeed, he thinks the argument is a pretext for the pursuit of Obama’s world-turned-upside-down views (as it obviously is). Senator Cotton made his point in dramatic fashion in the Senate Armed Services Committee this morning as he interrogated Principal Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Brian McKeon about Guantanamo Bay policy (video below, less than two minutes).

Quotable quote: “In my opinion, the only problem of Guantanamo Bay is there are too many empty beds and cells there right now. We should be sending more terrorists there for interrogation to keep this country safe. As far as I’m concerned, every last one of them can rot in hell, but since they don’t do that, they can rot in Guantanamo Bay.”
